azrontheninja The vibe espoused by this album is absolutely perfect for the very end of a late summer night. It's so complimentary and I highly recommend it. Wish I could find more albums like this EP, but I struggle to.

1.
January is cold but you are colder still leaving dead flowers on the windowsill driving on the highway, full of dread all the accusations better left unsaid Was there only ever room for doubt? did we never learn to do without? I'm taken with the sound It's a dubious honor when you speak my name paying the bills and staying up late caught you looking at me with a sidelong glance I was turning to stone in a statue stance
2.
Late July 03:43
It's like a late July with the windows down and the same terrible song on the radio but the days go by a little faster now I've been told they often do skipping right over June Think I may have missed a few other things, too... I walk the street sometimes with the same blank tape looking for the song I can't seem to find until uncertainty grabs ahold of me and it's not like I even mind with the tape stuck on rewind It can almost feel like I'm wasting time... I never thought I'd miss the trash-strewn beaches and the far-off seagull calls I never thought I'd miss the highway driving and the parking lots and malls It's all over It can almost feel like I'm wasting time It can almost feel like I'm wasting time It's too late, July
3.
Scorn 02:52
Where do we go? Hell if I know buried in snow buried in snow stupid heartache little lost note skin so cold skin so cold skin so cold lies we told when we were younger when shadows kept us warm kept us sleeping through the thunder I learned to run alone forgive me now for my many transgressions I long for your scorn cannot be true we are old news had to make do had to make do came in dead last she won't have that through my old room found your old shoes why did I find you?
4.
Night Window 01:38
5.
Half past midnight with memories best left behind yes, no, goodbye you're drifting in and out of my life we were walking through a night of glowing orange burning lights you could not make up your mind it wasn't wrong, nor was it right the glow, it never left your eyes the glow, it never left you those muted greens sounds that echo through the trees old epiphanies that haunt your dreams, disturbing sleep records spinning backwards demons conjured out of the groove bored souls up for the taking so lethargic, they barely move and like ghosts our voices float adrift and lost it was never really true
6.
Drones 03:14
Said there's no other land greener than where you stand I took you by the hand led you astray and the drones are flying low let it be known and now why can't she why can't she why can't she see and now why can't she these arms that hold you close hold you back the most it's easier to coast

about

The Night Window EP is an exploration of the post-graduation psyche. It's a soundtrack for dead-end jobs, ambiguous relationships, staying up late, and wasting valuable time. These songs were recorded at night.
